My Husband Turned Twenty
This Time, Together

Episode 10 / 10

Even after they decided to try for a child again, Jiyeon didn't rush.

She didn't want to start by counting dates and filling the calendar with hospital appointments like before.

First, she wanted to take better care of herself.

Sleep well.

Eat properly.

Exercise a little.

Seongho was even more enthusiastic than she was.

(Seongho) : “You're not exercising today?”

(Jiyeon) : “I'm tired.”

(Seongho) : “Let's just walk for thirty minutes.”

(Jiyeon) : “You're way too excited about having a twenty-year-old body.”

(Seongho) : “I'll pull you along.”

(Jiyeon) : “That's even more annoying.”

Still, they walked together.

On weekends, Seongho suggested hiking.

Jiyeon recoiled.

(Jiyeon) : “Why would I do that?”

(Seongho) : “To get healthier.”

(Jiyeon) : “I'll get healthy on flat ground.”

(Seongho) : “Mountain air is nice.”

Jiyeon gave him a look.

(Jiyeon) : “Did you already forget what happened to you on that mountain?”

Seongho laughed.

(Seongho) : “Then I just won't drink the water this time. What if I turn into an elementary school kid?”

In the end, Jiyeon gave in.

Saturday morning, they left the house in hiking clothes.

With his twenty-year-old body, Seongho climbed effortlessly.

Jiyeon followed behind, breathing hard.

(Jiyeon) : “Slow down.”

Seongho immediately came back down toward her.

(Seongho) : “Give me your hand.”

(Jiyeon) : “No.”

(Seongho) : “Come on.”

Jiyeon complained, but held out her hand anyway.

Seongho took it and pulled her upward.

(Jiyeon) : “You really have it good.”

(Seongho) : “What?”

(Jiyeon) : “You have energy to spare.”

(Seongho) : “You'll feel better soon too.”

(Jiyeon) : “I'm not turning twenty.”

Seongho laughed.

They climbed slowly.

They stopped to rest, drank water, and took pictures.

Jiyeon hadn't sweated this much in a long time.

It was exhausting.

But it felt good.

Seongho lifted his phone.

(Seongho) : “Let's take a picture.”

(Jiyeon) : “I'm covered in sweat.”

(Seongho) : “So what?”

They put their faces close together.

Click.

In the photo, Seongho was twenty.

Jiyeon was thirty-nine.

But both of them were smiling.

Jiyeon stared at the picture for a while.

They looked just as happy as the two twenty-somethings in their old photos.

They started walking again.

After a while, Seongho suddenly stopped ahead of her.

Jiyeon called from behind.

(Jiyeon) : “What?”

Seongho didn't answer.

He was staring to one side.

Jiyeon walked up beside him.

Between the trees sat a small stone spring.

An old wooden sign.

Seongho's expression went rigid.

(Seongho) : “This is it.”

(Jiyeon) : “What is?”

Seongho slowly walked toward the spring.

Familiar words were written on the sign.

Fountain of Youth

One sip is enough.

Jiyeon stopped too.

(Jiyeon) : “This...”

(Seongho) : “Yeah.”

Seongho stared at the spring.

(Seongho) : “This is what I drank from.”

Jiyeon looked back and forth between the spring and Seongho.

It was exactly the same as the picture he'd sent her.

When they'd come back only a few days later, the place had vanished without a trace.

Jiyeon asked,

(Jiyeon) : “You really drank one sip of this and became like that?”

(Seongho) : “Yeah.”

Jiyeon thought for a moment.

Then she picked up the dipper beside the spring.

Seongho's eyes widened.

(Seongho) : “Wait.”

Jiyeon scooped up some water.

(Seongho) : “What are you doing?”

(Jiyeon) : “I'm going to try it.”

(Seongho) : “Seriously?”

Jiyeon looked at him.

(Jiyeon) : “You got to be twenty all by yourself.”

Seongho laughed in disbelief.

(Seongho) : “So now you're going to do it too?”

(Jiyeon) : “Why? I can't?”

Jiyeon looked down at the clear water in the dipper.

She hesitated for just a moment.

Then took exactly one sip.

Seongho watched her in silence.

Jiyeon wiped the water from her lips.

(Jiyeon) : “Well?”

(Seongho) : “What?”

(Jiyeon) : “Do I look younger?”

Seongho studied her face.

(Seongho) : “You look the same so far.”

Jiyeon frowned.

(Jiyeon) : “Did it happen right away for you?”

(Seongho) : “I woke up like this the next morning.”

Jiyeon nodded.

(Jiyeon) : “Then I guess we'll see tomorrow.”

Seongho laughed.

They started back down the mountain.

After a few steps, Jiyeon said,

(Jiyeon) : “But what if I really turn twenty too?”

Seongho looked at her.

Jiyeon smiled teasingly.

(Jiyeon) : “I might have a face you've never seen before.”

Seongho pretended to think about it.

Then he took her hand.

(Seongho) : “Then I'll have to win you over all over again.”

Jiyeon laughed.

(Jiyeon) : “Confident?”

(Seongho) : “I've already succeeded once.”

They walked down the mountain hand in hand.

A husband who had become twenty.

A wife who might wake up twenty tomorrow.

After eleven years together,

their second youth was beginning.
