1. Information we process

• Account data: email address, nickname, verification status and account identifier.
• Activity: reviews, comments, reports, library items, reading history and progress.
• Technical data: access time, IP address, browser and device information, error and security logs, cookies and similar technologies.
• Correspondence: your address and the content of messages sent to us.

2. Why we use it

We use information to authenticate and manage accounts, provide reading and community features, answer inquiries, prevent abuse, maintain and improve the service, and meet legal obligations.

3. Retention and deletion

Account information is generally kept until the account is deleted or deletion is requested. Posts are handled when you delete them or close your account, subject to limited retention required for legal obligations, disputes or security. Backups may be removed through the normal backup rotation process.

4. Service providers and international processing

We use providers including Supabase for authentication and databases and Vercel for hosting and delivery. Information may be processed outside your country depending on provider infrastructure and is protected under provider terms and privacy safeguards.

5. Advertising, cookies and similar technologies

Seriala may use essential authentication storage to keep you signed in and browser storage to remember your language. If Google AdSense advertising is enabled, Google and third-party vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar information to serve, measure and personalize ads.

6. Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or withdrawal of consent by emailing us. We may request limited information to verify your identity before completing a request.

7. Children

Seriala is not directed to children under 14. If we learn that such information was collected without appropriate guardian consent, we will investigate and delete it.

8. Security and changes

We use reasonable safeguards including access controls, encrypted connections and provider security features. Material changes to this policy will be announced on the service before they take effect.
