Hara on Camera [After School / Main Gym]

The stolen broadcasting club camera was turned on in the center of the court.

Three of Kuroda’s underclassmen waited behind it.

(Kuroda, over speaker) : “Show everyone what kind of person you are.”

Hara looked between the camera and the boys surrounding him.

What Kuroda wanted was obvious.

One shot of Hara throwing the first punch.

One student shoved him.

Hara dodged.

A second swung.

He dodged again.

(Student) : “Scared?”

(Hara) : “No. I just know what the camera wants now.”

A side door opened.

Koharu came in, already recording the whole scene on her phone.

(Koharu) : “I’ve got everything from the beginning.”

The boys hesitated.

One ran at Koharu.

Hara only stepped between them.

He didn’t throw a punch.

Then he heard a phone vibrating inside the equipment storage room.

His head turned.

(Hara) : “There’s something in there.”

Kuroda laughed over the speaker.

(Kuroda) : “Go get it. All you have to do is shove everyone out of your way.”

The storage room was only a few steps away.

The old Hara would have run without telling Koharu.

This time, he spoke.

(Hara) : “Koharu. There’s a phone in there.”

(Koharu) : “Remember where it is. We wait for a teacher.”

Hara nodded.

Teachers rushed into the gym a few minutes later.

Kuroda’s underclassmen fled.

The stolen camera was recovered.

But the phone inside the storage room was already gone.

A small metal washer lay on the floor.

Hara looked up.

The lighting frame overhead was trembling slightly.

(Hara) : “Sir. Something’s wrong with that.”

Everyone looked up.
